WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR INTENSIVES
-
"As a low income working artist, it is difficult for me to trade a few weeks of my work to spend time furthering my education. NDF greatly expanded my artistry, and gave me new tools and concepts I can’t imagine going forward without as I continue my career. Funding from the Abrams Foundation was the difference in me choosing to attend NDF or not, and I’m so grateful I was able to participate. This was a core experience that will forever be a part of me as I continue to create and share my art in the future."
NewDANCEfest Emerging Choreographer
-
"My daughter absolutely loved this. Truly was amazing for her and she can’t wait to do it again!"
Parent of U.P.rootEDD participant
-
"This experience taught me a lot more about myself as a dancer, highlighting both my strengths and weaknesses. I am now more aware of how I can improve. I have an incentive to expand my movement vocabulary as a dancer."
NewDANCEfest participant
-
“I felt encouraged to push myself and my limits, but in a safe environment. I was both challenged by my peers, but also my instructors.”
NewDANCEfest Participant
-
“There was a good variety of classes and extra activities so it felt really balanced. I enjoyed the self-care aspects of the intensive and appreciated them because it was unique and not something you’d get from most intensives like this.”
