INTERN WITH EISENHOWER DANCE DETROIT
We are seeking students interested in an Arts Administration Internship for our 2024-2025 season!
As an Arts Administration Intern, student(s) would perform a wide range of administrative and support activities primarily related, but not limited to, the planning, implementation, and follow-up for Eisenhower Dance Detroit’s events and programs. Interns will be paired with a Direct Report for the duration of their internship, but will likely work closely with the Administrative Team as a whole.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position: Arts Administration Assistant
Reports to: Project Lead or Director of Operations
Compensation: No compensation will be provided. Selected applicants will receive hands on experience and work side by side with professionals in the field.
Timeframe: One semester (Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer)
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should be available for internship responsibilities for approximately 4 hours per week
At least 50% of hours preferred for in person
Candidates must be able to work remotely AND in-person
Availability to attend EDD events
Candidates must be willing and available to participate in a weekly virtual meeting with their Direct Report
Experience/ familiarity in working with programs such as; G Suite, Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Sheets
Experience/willingness to learn programs/platforms such as; Canva, Adobe Acrobat, Premiere Pro, and Social Media (Posts, Stories, Reels)
Candidates should be pursuing a BA, BFA or MFA degree in Dance or Arts Administration
The qualified candidate is a creative thinker and problem solver with a keen attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
The position requires someone who is knowledgeable in dance, who can work at a fast pace and who understand the importance of customer service and satisfaction
